Virgo New Moon August 30th 2019Tomorrow evening’s New Moon at AEST 8:35pm
has predominantly Virgo flavours to it with a so-called Stellium (more than five planets) in Virgo. Mercury, Juno (an Asteroid) Moon, Sun, Mars, all fall in the fifth house of creativity and self-expression and Venus is in the Sixth, of work and health. . The main point though is this strong Virgo energy: a manifestation of idealism ( also with the Jupiter/ Neptune square) through simple practical action, expressed outwardly. They are all trine Uranus which means there can be a departure from the tried-and-true, there can be an evolutionary break away from time-tested or conventional ways of doing things. . This streaming of ideology into practical and direct actions is supported by the Aries ascendant with the Path of Fortune rising, and trine Jupiter. . The Rune I pulled for this New Moon is Inguz - ‘the completion of beginnings and the ‘emergence from a closed , chrysalis state. All things change and we cannot live permanently amid obstructions’ ( from the Book of Runes by Ralph Blum) It is also the rune of fertility. . Meanwhile in the background we are still in the throes of the Saturn South Node conjunction, as it moves closer to Pluto in Capricorn. These massive encounters we’re having right now with authoritarian regimes in Brazil, with Jair Bolsonaro controlling the Amazon disaster which will affect the whole world; the UK with Boris Johnson closing down the parliament so that his trajectory for Brexit cannot be obstructed; the fight for democracy in Hong Kong, as China bears down on it, trying to break its spirit of independence, and these are just the ones we’re seeing in the headlines! . Chiron is also in conjunction with the ascendant, but in the twelfth house, more hidden, but still a player in all these events. The need to feel the sorrow and grief and partake in a collective prayer and healing for our beautiful planet, it’s so easy to feel paralysed by overwhelm at the moment. . Take good care 🙏🏼💜
