![]() This month's full Moon in Aquarius/Leo is actually a so-called blue Moon. Quote: 'Contrary to popular belief, a blue moon is not actually blue in color. Blue moon is a term that is used to describe the third full moon of a season that has four full moons. A year has four seasons - Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter - with three months and three full moons each. When one of the seasons in a year has four full moons, instead of the usual three, the third full moon is called a blue moon. The next such blue moon will occur on 21 August, 2013.' Blue moon's are quite rare, and signify a reminder for us that we are not in control of Nature, and that our calendar is constructed for our convenience. The metaphor here is that our own Nature cannot be boxed up and measured. Especially not with an Aquarian Full moon! Added to this we have what is known as a 'kite' pattern as well as a fixed grand square. This full moon is a wake-up call. The kite, which in this instance consists of a grand trine of Saturn/North Node in Scorpio, Chiron in Pisces and Jupiter in Cancer, shows that some extensive healing is taking place of ancient wounds, with the full moon as its trigger, it could easily be like the lancing of a boil, the sort of thing we're seeing in Egypt at present could well be part of this. (cross-fingers that in the bigger picture it is part of an healing process..) On a personal level, if there has been any nagging fear, doubt or pain in your body/mind, now is the time to take it into your heart centre and heal it. (The Sun is in the fifth house, Leo, associated with the heart). Facing up to things you've been putting off which may have been holding you back from experiencing the full joy of your Being can be hard at times, but when you focus on your heart centre and bring the courage and unconditional love to the question, you'll be surprised how miraculously the pain can be dispersed and transformed. The fixed grand square connects to this kite pattern through Jupiter in Cancer, and is between Venus (in LIbra) Pluto in Capricorn, and Uranus in Aries (part of the important revolutionary square going on until 2015). With the Venusian influence, its time to shape-shift your more significant relationships, especially where you've been feeling that you're caught together in a sort of rut. Give some attention, some energy into refreshing the way you do things together, what parts are outmoded and don't work anymore and need a reality-check (Pluto in Capricorn, Saturn in Scorpio, mutual reception). You will reap expansion, release and clarity. (Jupiter opposing Pluto and squaring Uranus). It is an important full Moon, best to dance with the energy consciously rather than avoid it, and find that you are faced with big decisions you'd rather not be making right now. Take good care.. I welcome your comments and feedback.
