Annular Solar Eclipse on April 29th at 4:17pm (AEST)
So how are you faring in the midst of this group of powerful planetary, and lunar aspects? (see my last article)
The Solar Eclipse tomorrow marks a brief end to an intensive regrouping, letting go, opening up and staying true to yourself, courtesy of the Cardinal Grand Cross we had last week, and the ongoing relationship between Uranus and Pluto (until March next year).
It brings with it the possibility to shift your consciousness. Eclipses usually bring disruption, so use this time to interrupt your usual ways of operating and dealing with situations, which perhaps haven't been as effective as you would like. Allow for other possibilities to unfold. Always with the intention for the best outcome for all concerned ofcourse.
Surrender to the force of change which is in the air and stay conscious.
The emphasis of the Annular Solar Eclipse does seem to be on relationships and how we experience what we call love. Stand back for a moment and ask yourself about the nature of love. Is the love you share with your significant other and your close friends governed by attachment and fear? Or is it a blending of great souls who bring more than the sum of each into the picture in an overflowing of inclusive humanitarian and compassionate love?
The eclipse, which is a new moon, is in Taurus. And Venus the ruler of Taurus is in Pisces. Enquire into the nature of your love. Is it about indulging in the senses, reveling in sensual bliss and delights. Or is it about a bigger picture and a sense of belonging to the whole? Either way, and with an unconditional heart allow your curiosity to linger on these questions.
My take on the sign Aquarius
People say that all the signs have their good and bad qualities, and that one shouldn’t make qualitative statements about them. But I have to say that after studying, teaching and using Astrology as a tool for self-enquiry and development for nearly forty years, Aquarius is my favorite sign! And here is why: Aquarius is the humanitarian revolutionary who keeps all the other signs awake and on their toes. The catch phrase for Aquarius is: “I know”. This is because knowledge is a tool for the betterment of humanity, and Aquarius has an innate knowing sense.
Ruled by the planet Uranus, the planet of revolution, innovation, futuristic vision, genius (and yes, ‘madness’) Aquarius is a fixed air sign, so even though it enlightens us with enthusiasm (from the Greek enthousiasmos, to be inspired by a God) and de-light, natural intelligence and sense of adventure, it is able to powerfully concentrate and focus its energy onto a goal or outcome for the greater good of all beings. In old Astrology, before Uranus was discovered in 1781 (the same time as electricity), Saturn was the ruler of Aquarius while it co-ruled Capricorn. I believe that the taciturn economic and disciplined ways of Saturn are still in play in Aquarius. This means that all the idealism and enthusiasm is grounded in practical down-to-earth action, that doesn’t get blown away by flamboyant ego displays or corrupted by expressions of pride.
Aquarius often finds itself the ‘right face, in the right place, at the right time.’ It seems to naturally gravitate to the best situations and circumstances.
Having said all of these wonderful things about Aquarius, I have to say, that Aquarius struggles with intimacy and one-to-one relationships. It is everybody’s best friend, but is out-on-a-limb when it comes to relating to a significant other. This is because it deeply cares about the brotherhood of all mankind more than the nearest and dearests.
Ofcourse in describing an Astrological sign in this way, I am not necessarily describing people who have their Sun in Aquarius, although mostly they will be able to identify with some, if not all of these qualities. We all have all the signs in us, some of them will dominate more that others. Aquarius represents a facet of expression I find the most developed and sustainable especially as we enter into the Age of Aquarius. (more about that in another article soon)
This is an important time for the Aquarian side of life, and this is because of the ongoing square between Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn, which we will go on being part of all this year and into 2015. This is the revolution of consciousness and the breaking down of the status quo as well as many outworn belief systems and modis operandi. The violent wars and turbulent natural disasters we are witnessing and participating in have a Uranus/Pluto 'feel' about them. The fires of transformation wielding great inroads into human consciousness, opening it up for the New Earth Eckhart Tolle talks about in his great book. The Aquarian Age of Enlightenment, where we all intrinsically know we are One, all part of the living breathing organism known as life on Earth.
Heralding February is the Super new Moon on January 30th in Aquarius which you can use to allow yourself to dream in and manifest goals or outcomes you feel the most enthusiastic about.
Mercury will go retrograde on February 6th until 28th. It will go into Aquarius, a much more pragmatic place for it than the dreamy poetic Pisces, on February 14th.
The most important transit is Jupiter in Cancer opposing Pluto in Capricorn, with Venus within one degree of Pluto, on January 31st. We are still deeply questioning our values and beliefs, and there could be some secret uses and misuses of power which we become part of, or aware of in others. With our personal lives Venus is so close to this opposition, we will need to come from a place of love and receptivity, just listening quietly, instead of imposing what we think is correct through manipulation or domination. Under this transit there have to be some losses, so that gains can be made and the regeneration of the truth can be facilitated. After this Jupiter will sit on a square to Uranus until March 6th when it will also go direct and start moving through Cancer at its usual faster pace. This relationship between Jupiter and Uranus, can bring a lot of release and relief to the pressure which has been building up with the Uranus/Pluto square. Surprising situations and innovative resolutions will bring movement and change.
Spring Equinox ~ October 2013
Our Spring Equinox down here in the Southern Hemisphere coincided with the so-called ‘Harvest Moon’ late last week, so-named in the Northern Hemisphere, and associated with creation and new beginnings.
I think its safe to say, we are all sensing Spring rising up and warming the Earth, flora and fauna coming alive again after the chill of winter. Our faces lighting up with smiles and bodies relaxing into the soft warm air.
The chart for the Equinox has the moon exalted in Taurus, the nature lover, rewarded with Spring, and the sensual aromas of the warming earth and her buds of joy and new life. The Taurus Moon is opposing Saturn, North Node and Venus in Scorpio and triggers the big and rare Grand Trine who’s influence we are still experiencing. (Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune conjunct Chiron in Pisces here’s what Melissa says ”This heavenly configuration which began to form in late June is one of the most important in our lifetime. A grand water trine is an aspect involving 3 or more planets in all 3 water signs which happens regularly. This Grand Trine is different because it’s a once-in-a-lifetime event! It involves Jupiter in Cancer (occurs once in 12 years), Saturn in Scorpio (every 30 years) and most importantly Neptune in Pisces which happens only every 164 years and is more significant because Neptune rules Pisces, so is most powerful in its own sign.”
We are still under the influence of this Grand-trine ….and the Taurus moon opposing one of its points creates a kite-pattern is a catalyst for some of the more potent karmic lessons of responsibility in relationships. The Sun in Libra certainly puts us on notice to engage in our personal relationships. And the truth is that all our relationships form pieces in the greater puzzle of humankind, and its getting more and more crucial that we find a way of living and sharing our beautiful planet peacefully, as the environmental cataclysms threaten food and water shortages; the revolutions and revolts in the Middle East, wipe out civilisations and their people, and the powerful testing of values invoked by the big Pluto/Uranus (blog) square whose transformational forces we are still subject too: huge awakenings and quickening brushing away the cobwebs of the past established status quo, jolted and shaken into a new paradigm.
This month Pluto goes direct after five months of being retrograde.
Pluto reminds us that all external annoyances “out there” are in fact internal parts of ourselves projected onto life’s outer screen. Again its about taking responsibility for this, as the mutual reception of Saturn in Pluto’s home sign of Scorpio reminds us. Responsibility: the ability to respond!
Mars went into Leo end August and will be there until 15th October, it will then move into Virgo, where it can implement in a practical way the fiery passions it may have visited whilst in Leo. It will oppose Neptune in Pisces for a few days (19th-20th Nov) which is an excellent time to move into one’s ideals, and visualise the world you dream of.
If you find yourself feeling dissipated or exhausted, spend time near the ocean, or even soaking in a pool or bath will help hold you with this transit.
Mercury in Scorpio goes retrograde on 21st October until November 11th. Its only in Western astrology really that retrograde Mercury has gained such bad press. Especially in Scorpio, you are being invited into the deep interior spaces of your psyche: dive in and take some time out, and you won’t be dogged by computers or phones going on the blink.
There is a lot of potential of healing deep old patterns, the programs we often hold on a cellular level in our bodies early in October as the quincunx of Saturn, to Uranus, and its trine to Chiron support this kind of DNA shifting.
On the 18th of October until Nov 16th we have another exact Pluto square Uranus hit, so there could be some more big movements in our institutions, as collective values keep changing and evolving.
Take good care, allow yourself to feel all the feelings, this way deep healings can happen. Get support if you have fear or anger to clear, as now is the time for big openings.
The full Moon (Super Moon June 23rd) brought with it the blessings Mercury and Venus conjunction in Cancer, making an harmonious trine aspect to the Moon in Scorpio.
This is a fine time for communication, writings and readings, where the slick messenger Mercury gets to fly with his heart open, Venus at his side. The Scorpio moon deepens the feelings into transformational healing frequencies, any rocks and hard places within your intimate relationships with loved ones and within your family can be gently spoken about, with the grace of Venus and Mercury in Cancer, trine the Scorpio Moon.
Could be that this brings much needed relief after the hectic time in the media, the onslaught and overload of information in the last few days with Jupiter conjunct the Sun in Gemini.
The sweetness of heartfelt feelings emanating from the Mercury and Venus conjunction in Cancer, followed closely by the Sun entering Cancer on the 26th of June, allows us to dwell and even navigate through any density of grievance using our feelings and intuition as a salve, into the smaller watery Grand Trine triggered by the Cancer Sun forming its trines to Neptune and Chiron in Pisces and Saturn in Scorpio. Mercury will station on that day before its retrograde period in Cancer, giving us the space to go inside, circumnavigating the busi-ness of our minds and paving the way for the larger and rarer Grand Trine forming between Jupiter, & Lilith in Cancer, Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces, throughout the 17th & 18th July. We'll have already been feeling our feelings, and hopefully even begun processing them (Lilith, Saturn, Neptune), and so be more available to the possibilities this large Watery Grand Trine can offer us.
Trines are the harmonious relationship which occurs when planets are 'trine' to each other, a so-called soft aspect of 120º (a third of the 360º Zodiac circle). A Grand trine is when the three corners of the triangle (trine) are each inhabited by a planet or point. In a natal chart it reveals where a person may have enormous natural talent that they take for granted.
However, in the so-called mundane chart (which is the configuration that affects all beings and events on Earth) it can be time when resolutions take place, a time of reconciliation. Hopefully, the news about the Taliban coming to the table to talk about peace will lead to better outcomes for Afganistan.
And speaking of hectic times, the revolutionary/evolutionary square of fiery Uranus in Aries and retrograde Pluto in the-status-quo-Capricorn continues to wield its power with not only Turkey in uproar, but the streets of Brazil filled with demonstrators wanting a better deal, equality and justice their governing bodies working for them instead of against them. The civil war in Syria, the people rising up in Greece and revelations about whistle blower Edward Snowden unearthing extensive NSA data mining operations even on citizens of the US, all are about the hugely changing world we're living in. The truth is coming out.
The Full Moon on May 25th (EST 2:27pm) is a partial Lunar Eclipse is the last of a series of Lunar and Solar eclipses which started on April 25th with a Lunar eclipse, and culminated as a Solar eclipse on May 10th.
The earlier eclipses activated the Taurus/Scorpio polarity and opened up doorways to deepen inner values. In some cases disturbing the status quo profoundly enough to require transformational work to take place, and a deep letting go of beliefs, attitudes and principles which may have held us in good stead in the past but no longer have the same credibility.
With the Lunar eclipse on Saturday (here in Australia and New Zealand) in Gemini/Sagittarius we can expect more understanding and expansion to take place as we integrate the changes.
I looked up the Sabian Symbol for the degree of the eclipse (4º Sagittarius)
(from ‘An Astrological Mandala: The cycle of transformations and its 360 symbolic phases” Dane Rudyar)
“A little child learning to walk with the encouragement of his parents.”
Keynote: The natural assistance of superior powers during crises of growth.
At an early stage in its development, every living organism must make and attempt to overcome the power of gravitation, or rather to learn to use it in order to fulfill the purpose of its life. This implies passing through a critical state of growth _ growth in freedom, potency and individuality, inasmuch as “walking” always symbolizes self-induced progress. In such a crisis the individual is not left alone. Some more evolved Power and Intelligence watches, encourages and gives examples to be followed.
To me this is about us integrating the new energy and insights we gained from the previous two eclipses and like a small child has to individuate needs support from those who have been there before. This was echoed by the North and South Nodes (which are to do with the evolution of the Soul) being trine (harmonious) to Chiron (representing those places where healing needs to happen).
Looking further into the chart of the Full Moon/partial Lunar eclipse chart, I see that Neptune in Pisces trines Saturn and forms a square to the Sun and Moon, further implying that through healing wisdom and compassion the fragmented aspects of ourselves dislodged especially by the previous eclipses; the revolutionary energy of the Uranus/Pluto square (which was exact again only a few days before); as well as abrasive Mars being opposite the Moon for several days has brought anxieties and fretful emotions to the surface and can be refined and soothed by the unconditional love of that Piscean Neptune. If there is confusion and disorientation, it serves to look inside, and take some psychic space.
Another important influence is that Mercury, Venus and Lilith (the Dark Moon) are exactly conjunct each other in Gemini as well. There could be some important and productive revelations about women’s equality and rights. Lilith represents the consciousness that women and the female aspect of our consciousness are/is equal to the male side. The breaking down of limiting patriarchal rules (male consciousness) is part of the evolution in consciousness being activated by the Uranus/Pluto square.
Greetings astrology lovers
As I sit here and write I can still sense the pull of the full moon which happened about five hours ago in Pisces/Virgo. The gentle and yielding energy of Pisces/Virgo, which brings us all into our humility and sense of action for the common good.
Mercury is just pulling away from its conjunction to Mars in Pisces and Chiron still sitting in Pisces bringing waves of deep healing to all of us. The Mercury/Mars conjunction in Pisces has been giving us the ability to use the power of our imaginations to manifest a better world for ourselves and the collective. Pisces, the big heart-opener, the Compassionate one heals with its unconditional listening heart, our imaginations stoked by the other-wordly light of this can really have the most beautifully positive influence.
On the so-called negative side, it could be that we are more escapist than usual, avoiding issues and harboring our anger or resentment in wishy-washy quagmire of self-pity.
And yes I'm sure we all can have both those qualities within us! The challenge is to bring unconditional self-acceptance and compassion to ourselves as well as to others. And since Mars likes to be manifested physically, I recommend dancing, swimming, Yoga, Qigong or Aikido as a way to release physical energy from a cellular level, in the most Piscean way possible...ie with music, meditation or water.
Jupiter is now steadily moving forward through Gemini until the end of June when it goes into Cancer. This is such an expansive and opening time for Gemini's and Sagittarians, new vistas are opening, the horizon and beyond is revealing boundless possibilities, the challenge for Gems and Sagi's, is to stay grounded and not get overwhelmed by all the possibilities.
Saturn in Scorpio went retrograde a few days ago, which means that we need to discipline ourselves internally, and one of those discipline's is to not be self-critical. Its a good time to start some new self-improvement regime, and also a great time for de-cluttering not only our earthly possessions, but also outworn belief systems and thought patterns which no longer serve us. Saturn in Scorpio is lean and can be mean, but either way it wants us to be more streamlined in our actions.
I will certainly be de-cluttering my own household and workrooms in the coming week, as I am in the midst of moving. This article, shorter than usual, but I will write more thoughts about the luminaries and planets in the coming weeks.
In Pisces Mercury is conjunct Neptune and coming up to conjunct Mars ~ a great time to allow your imagination to expand into what you want..open your mind to the boundless mystery where so much exists the mind cannot usually begin to approach..and with Venus in Aquarius trine Jupiter forward now in Gemini: very inspired and expansive creativity, and an excellent time to allow your soul to be moved by music ~ dance!
Water will help you float in that too...let yourself be moved into heart space with loved ones..and tell people you love them! (Mercury!)
The festive Leo/Aquarius full moon on 27 January, has several planetary companions spicing up its luminous presence, and generally creating some intrigue. Read on to get a snap shot interpretation...
In the last few articles I’ve talked about the powerful and world-changing Uranus/Pluto square we are in the midst of, and the effects on the collective, individuals and the established institutions and structures which hold our manifest world in place. (see article)
I have given this a lot more thought and recently felt that throughout this three year period of the Uranus/Pluto square, any faster moving planets which make an aspect to the degrees of either Uranus or Pluto will be an expression and/or catalyst of this revolutionary energy we are all experiencing in one way or another.
The revolutions, and uprisings being experienced by large groups of peoples in countries all over the world, and now the events unfolding in Africa, especially Mali, are all a reflection on a world scale of an enormous restructuring of our internal worlds as well. Unresolved emotional issues such as denial of your own true self, (Uranus) by oppressive dogma of a religion or authoritative tyranny from your own early life’s conditioning (Pluto) need to be faced and resolved and healed. Luckily we have Neptune and Chiron both in Pisces over this time frame, the gently healing energy’s of Neptune and Pisces, working on our collective wound. (Chiron).
These are the dates for the next exact squares between these Uranus and Pluto:
May 20th, 2013; November 1st, 2013; April 21st, 2014; December 15th, 2014; and March 16th 2015.
You may not feel the energy of these aspects exactly on the date, but often the week before or after can be the time when you tune in.
If you are experiencing big upheavals and shocks in your life, which make you feel powerless and frightened at the moment, this huge shift is also very much about your personal and internal life. Those places which have denial or pain in us are often the most difficult places to meet in ourselves, and I recommend getting some support, either form a practitioner you trust, or calling in your ‘higher Self’ or Angelic beings getting help from other dimensions. (Neptune and Chiron in Pisces).
You may have done the emotional work, and now be experiencing amazing surges of freedom and Light.
Planetary positions coming up:
*26thJan: Mars (Aquarius) sesquiquatrate Pluto (Capricorn); Jupiter (Gemini) trine Sun (Aquarius); Mercury (Aquarius) square Saturn (Scorpio)
27th Jan: Full Moon Leo/Aquarius
30th Jan: Jupiter turns direct (huzzah!)
1st Feb: Mars goes into Pisces, and Venus goes into Aquarius
5th Feb: Mars (Pisces) conjunct Neptune
**6th Feb: Venus (Aquarius) sextile Uranus (Aries)
7th Feb: Mercury conjunct Neptune; Venus (Aquarius) trine Jupiter (Gemini)
9th Feb: Mercury squares Jupiter
10th Feb: Mars (Pisces) square Jupiter (Gemini)
11th Feb: Mercury and Mars in Pisces conjunct Chiron; Venus (Aquarius) square Saturn (Scorpio)
***13th Feb: Mercury trines Saturn (Scorpio) (and sextile Pluto); Mars conjunct Chiron
Leading up to the Leo/Aquarius full Moon which is on Sunday afternoon here in South Eastern Australia, * Mars makes a hard aspect to Pluto triggering some of the energy of the square to Uranus. This could easily activate some violence or an outburst of rebellion, which could lead to bloodshed. With the full Moon energy also, we get expanded emotional expression, and inflated excitement. Watch your anger and stress levels, and take deep long breaths if you feel yourself wanting to explode.
Use the mental discipline of the Mercury/Saturn square and bring your awareness into the frontal lobes of your brain (your forehead) and away from the 'reptile' brain (above your neck at the back of your head, (which wants to kill!) Fortunately Jupiter is making an airy trine to the Sun, which should soften the challenging energy of the square and help us to see the bigger picture with more fairness and objectivity.
The full Moon after this process can then be a true Leo/Aquarius celebration of the individual self, as part of a brotherhood called humanity!
Jupiter turns direct on January 30th, which will move us forward into our expanded consciousness, and on February 5th, Mars conjuncts Neptune so that with the power of our imaginations we can visualize a humanity based on Peace, unconditional Love, Universal justice, and freedom (**February 6th Venus now in Aquarius) and sextile Uranus). Dreaming and expanded awareness continues into February 7th with Mercury conjunct Neptune and Venus trine Jupiter.
Mercury then squares Jupiter on February 9th, bringing a lot of information and learning, which will help us understand all the shifts and expand our awareness. Mars then squares Jupiter on Feb 10th, which is a good time to implement any new ideas which have come from your insights. Plant a seed either literally or figuratively to make the most of this transit.
On a more personal relationship level as well as in the International diplomatic milieu much healing can happen with the Mercury, Mars and Chiron conjunction in Pisces. Any denied anger or aggression can be transmuted by the soothing waters of Pisces. Venus is squaring Saturn, which can mean that issues will arise which need work: dialogues will need to be grounded into a realistic and contained framework, otherwise feelings of constraint and suppression can bring up fear and withdrawal.
Mars will stay in its conjunction with Chiron for a few days, issues of assertion and competition or anger can be healed, especially with Mercury making its trine to ***Saturn and its gentle yet productive sextile to Pluto. (from the depths, and transformational).
Throughout February, Pluto will be moving into sextile with Saturn and tightening the orb on 24th Feb. I feel that the potential harshness of the Uranus/Pluto square is softened by this sextile, perhaps allowing for the easy implementation of change into our infrastructures, so that by the end of February we will be able to see more of the changes a lot of us have been asking for.
The end of an era and the birth of a new age
Congratulations! If you are reading this it means you have survived ‘the end of the world’, as predicted by the Mayan calendar recordings ending on 12.12.12.
The full moon in Cancer/Capricorn (28th December 2012) heralds a month which draws us all into the fullness of our feelings and soul stirrings, it is a time for families and communities to link up as we look back at the last four or five weeks and realize we’ve been living on the edge of a collective sense that something is ending and something new is being born. For many of us it has been a very challenging year, stretching us to our limits, testing us for our deepest values and giving us the grit to question the status quo perhaps like we never have before.
The end of the Mayan calendars long count (5,125 years) at the 2012 solstice (21.12.12) coincides with the formal beginning of a New World Age according to the Maya, and coincides with what we have been calling ‘The Aquarian Age’, which we’ve been hearing about, reading about and singing about for the last forty years. (refer to the musical ‘Hair’)
There is a shift of the galactic alignment of the 2012 solstice Sun, which could be associated with a possible formal beginning of a new cycle of precession: the beginning of the Aquarian age. Pisces is considered the last sign/constellation of the zodiac, that makes Aquarius the next age via precession, as it goes backwards through the twelve signs. The galactic center alignment occurs once every approximately 26,000 years. This precessional cycle comes about because of the earth’s minor wobble on its axis.
The Age of Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, the planet of shocking and revolutionary change and awakening. It is associated with freedom, social justice, brotherhood, a new humanity and new technology. It is the energy of those acting for the greater common good.
We are still in the midst, and will be until March 2015 of an enormous revolution of consciousness as Uranus in fiery and directional Aries and Pluto in ambitious and conservative Capricorn, square each other seven times (which is rare) over the next 16 months or so. (see article)
The radical questioning and challenging of many of our well established institutions, some of them the pillars of our infra-structure and financial systems, like Wall Street, as well the whole banking system. And in other parts of the world: the Middle Eastern dictatorships, as well as the Capitalist system, the Communist system, and more recently that unstoppable institution in the US, the NRA, as the US faces up to its Second Amendment and whether or not everyone should be so freely entitled to carry weapons designed to kill other human beings, and whether this is actually appropriate in this day and age.
The combination of Uranus and Pluto in these 'first quarter' squares is potentially the most profoundly transformational and far-reaching of all the planetary combinations.
Our collective consciousness is also more and more moving towards a merging of us into ‘One’, which has also been described as one of the characteristics of this new Aquarian age, as we deeply sense how linked we all are, in our brotherhood, facing up to the biggest collective challenge: the environment. The world wide web is joining us all to each other intimately as we discover that we can change things profoundly from the grass roots up, using this brilliant technology.
Neptune’s passage into Pisces (see article) and Saturn’s move into Scorpio, a harmonious trine relationship between these two, is like salve to our weathered brows, holding our Souls for the deepest healing (with Chiron in Pisces too).
We somehow know that there has to be a revolution in consciousness for the new version of humanity to rise like a phoenix from the ashes of several thousand years of conflict, intolerance and materialism. And may all our intelligence and humanitarianism now assist in this rebirth.
~ November is a big month this year as it contains two eclipses, the first one is a total solar eclipse and the only total eclipse this year, on November 13th. This eclipse will only be visible in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. Solar eclipses are mostly associated with disruptions. This one falls into the profound Scorpio waters where with the help of retrograde Mercury it signifies a deep shift in the collective subconscious. Mercury went retrograde (6th November), and travels backwards into Scorpio after its brief sojourn in Sagittarius, bringing our thoughts and perspectives into the depths of our current transformational processes. Mercury then goes forward again on 26th November, allowing us to integrate and understand our innermost self with more clarity and perspective, as we then become able to share and reflect upon shift we’ve made with others again.
For more information about the eclipses go to Nasa's site.
Going against the grain of the widely broadcast warnings about retrograde Mercury, I believe that in these times of information overload, Mercury going retrograde is a blessing. We need to bring more of our awareness inside ourselves, enquiring into our thoughts, belief systems and ideals. We are constantly under pressure to take in more and more external information, so that getting time to go inside and investigate our own deeper truths is a time for us to empower ourselves with more self-knowledge, and rest deeply (Scorpio) in our own nature’s.
Because of this more internally centered focus, its true that external communications can suffer from the kind of vagueness which makes for miscommunications. And because the technology we use to communicate to each other with is virtually symbiotic with our energy fields, things can go askew when the focus is not on the external passage of information.
The second eclipse in November is the penumbral Lunar eclipse which happens on the 28th November, which will mostly not be visible in Australia. This is the full moon in Gemini, and important for all the mutable signs (Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo and Pisces) as they let go of old memories and thought patterns no longer needed. Sometime deep emotional issues surface to be accepted (owned) and released. It can be a great time for processing the emotional baggage no longer needed on the journey, which will create a space for new life and vision to come in.
All of this going in while Saturn in the early degrees of Scorpio makes a watery trine to Neptune in Pisces means that this process could be about easing your deepest core ideals into manifestation, so I recommend doing a vision board or affirmations lists, only draw not from the outer side of your mind, take your awareness into the depths with honesty and commitment and this is a great month for moving forward into the new world.
