![]() Well, I don’t know about you, but I certainly felt the Sun going into Aries a few days ago (20th March). It was rather like spending time in a dreamy forest of the imagination (Pisces), only to be woken up by the direct and fiery gaze of a warrior telling me to get moving! A jolt of directive energy and the willingness to surrender can now transport us into the next chapter of our lives. As I sit here and write the Moon is in Virgo (March 25) Venus, Mars and Uranus accompany the Sun on its Aries path. So it is a productive time, Earth and Fire combinations get things done. The Sun, Venus and Mars are all approaching a conjunction with Uranus in Aries on 28th March, which should bring a few days of unexpectedly stimulating excitement within relationships and creative endeavors. Allow the light of Uranus’ energy to rouse you and energize new creative ideas or new ways of relating. On Saturday (23rd March) while we sat down for our candle-lit Earth Hour dinner, Mars was conjunct Uranus, and people reported that they could feel the vibrant electrical energy of this stimulating conjunction, a quickening and the feeling of being fully present in the NOW. And then there were those who let off some steam, felt irritable, complaining about how badly people drive these days, or how their internet connection kept faltering when they were trying to do their banking. The most important event this month is that Saturn goes retrograde on April 1, and won’t be going forward again until July 8th. Any unfinished business gets to go through the wringer again, the scrutinizing Saturn glance which sees through any flimsy or unsustainable structures, practices or things you might be fooling yourself about. Especially with Saturn going retrograde in Scorpio! It is really best to take responsibility for what is yours. Discriminate between what you can change and what you can’t. Build on the strengths of inner discipline to create a routine within your life which will support you thoroughly, as the continuing influence from the square of Uranus and Pluto over the next few years shakes us all into being more awake and engaged with a new world. We are being pushed to throw off the shackles of outmoded belief systems, a status quo that no longer serves us as well as powerful evolutionary forces. Saturn retrograde can assist us to look deeply into ourselves and ask: “is it true…REALly?” Saturn retrograde in Scorpio cuts to the quick, unearthing all that is superfluous or isn’t of service to the deeper truth. Saturn in Scorpio can be quite ruthless, and what better place to take that ruthlessness than into our own psyche, where we often hide from the truth or fool ourselves to protect our fragile egos. The Waite Rider Card shown above is Nine Wands and shows someone who has been in a struggle which is giving him the foresight to prepare for the ongoing pressures of a soul's desire to grow and evolve.
