Annular Solar Eclipse on April 29th at 4:17pm (AEST)
So how are you faring in the midst of this group of powerful planetary, and lunar aspects? (see my last article)
The Solar Eclipse tomorrow marks a brief end to an intensive regrouping, letting go, opening up and staying true to yourself, courtesy of the Cardinal Grand Cross we had last week, and the ongoing relationship between Uranus and Pluto (until March next year).
It brings with it the possibility to shift your consciousness. Eclipses usually bring disruption, so use this time to interrupt your usual ways of operating and dealing with situations, which perhaps haven't been as effective as you would like. Allow for other possibilities to unfold. Always with the intention for the best outcome for all concerned ofcourse.
Surrender to the force of change which is in the air and stay conscious.
The emphasis of the Annular Solar Eclipse does seem to be on relationships and how we experience what we call love. Stand back for a moment and ask yourself about the nature of love. Is the love you share with your significant other and your close friends governed by attachment and fear? Or is it a blending of great souls who bring more than the sum of each into the picture in an overflowing of inclusive humanitarian and compassionate love?
The eclipse, which is a new moon, is in Taurus. And Venus the ruler of Taurus is in Pisces. Enquire into the nature of your love. Is it about indulging in the senses, reveling in sensual bliss and delights. Or is it about a bigger picture and a sense of belonging to the whole? Either way, and with an unconditional heart allow your curiosity to linger on these questions.
On Tuesday 30th July at 3:44am the Moon enters into its last quarter triggering a magnificent and rare cosmic configuration. You can see on the chart below that a hexagon will be formed, a six-pointed structure within the circle. The sextile is an aspect between planets of 60º, and is generally known as a ‘soft’ aspect. I have always thought of it as a flowing productive relationship between two planets. For example if you look at the elements, the Moon will be in Taurus (earth), Jupiter and Mars are in Cancer (water), Venus is in Virgo (earth), Saturn is in Scorpio (water), Pluto is in Capricorn (earth) and Neptune and Chiron are in Pisces (water). Water and Earth are a fecund and productive mix. They are in harmony with one another.
For around five hours on either side of the exact time of the hexagon, some miraculous healing can occur. This beautiful configuration heralds a time of us tuning in to what is of the Earth and Waters, it is an excellent time for a deep physical healing. Take your awareness to any part of your body which has been out-of-sorts lately, or where there is pain of disease. Call in your connection to the Earth and her waters, visualize a nurturing and soothing flow between that part of your body and Earth. Revel in the feelings of harmony.
Jupiter and Mars being involved with the hexagon mean that expansion and action can be taken from this work. Tuning in and allowing the imprint of resonance and balance to occur like this can give you an excellent grounding in an expanded direction you are wanting to go in.
The Sun in Leo squares both the Moon and Saturn, forming a t-square configuration which is a dynamic pattern and requires you to act. Through discipline and a realistic grounded approach you will be able to access leadership skills and the confidence to move forward into what you are wanting to create.
Relish this excellent planetary configuration!
May, with its two eclipses has opened with a sense of new possibilities.
After the powerful Scorpio/Taurus Lunar Eclipse on April 25th a passage opened for us to truly own the condition of our inner world as a precursor to outer experiences and situations. The Eclipse was like a bolt of lightening as it must appear from the depths of the ocean (the deep waters of Scorpio shaken and stirred!). This journey continues as we experience two more eclipses this month. The passage rambles on into the depths of the collective psyche, rattling away at outmoded belief systems and ivory towers constructed by our self-importance.
The New Moon in Taurus May 10th, 00:23am (EST, Australia) is an Annular Solar Eclipse.
The Solar Eclipses often bring manifestations into our outer worlds, and if you were affected by the Lunar Eclipse mentioned above, then you could find that things that got shaken loose, and hopefully were met by you in that week, will now show up as resolutions and manifestations. If not examined during that time (25th April), they could arise as issues to still be addressed in your outer world.
And then on May 24th we will have another partial Lunar Eclipse, (btw: which will powerfully affect those Sagittarians born 25-27th November). Remember Sagittarius prefers the truth, and so if there’s anymore tending to your internal landscape that needs doing now is the time to cultivate a broadminded approach to this. The Lunar Eclipses help us weed the gardens of our memories. Pull out any memories which are limiting new growth from happening into the light of your awareness. Acknowledge their existence, allow yourself to feel anything painful, so as to heal it; rejoice in the happiness of rich memories that have brought delight, and then let them go, merging and disappearing into all that is.
On that note about cultivating, I need to mention the Moon’s South Node which has been travelling in Taurus for eight months now and recently with the Sun, Venus, Mercury and Mars all accompanying it, we are reminded to come together in a natural and peaceful way to nurture the garden of our Earth, out Mother, who sustains us and holds us. The Scorpio North Node has certainly been showing many of us the results of our determined materialism and the need to prune excesses, so as to live a bigger and more community orientated shared life here on precious Gaia.
Also this month we have the third Uranus Square to Pluto transit (there are four more coming 2014-15). This great revolutionary cycle we are in (see more about that here) which is shaking up the status quo, allowing us to see through our automated conditioned ways and awakening us to our full potential. Perhaps technology and science are no longer rejecting notions the metaphysical world has accepted as truth for centuries, and are quietly looking into the possibility that we are multi-dimensional beings living in multi-dimensional realities, and that what we eat, breathe, think and share affects everything.
I notice that right wing parties and groups are forming and gaining momentum again here in Australia and UK, and I interpret that as a manifestation of fear.
Is it the fear of freedom and the right for us all to live in an equitable world?
The Taurus/Scorpio full Moon on Friday (EST) is also a partial Lunar eclipse, and the first of three over the next few months. If its not cloudy in Melbourne, you should be able to see it sometime between 4-7am on Friday morning.
Lunar Eclipses are to do with emotional baggage and what to do with it. Especially this one in Scorpio. And ofcourse Saturn in Scorpio means that its old stuff, probably held on a cellular, structural level that needs addressing now.
Scorpio and Taurus are inclined to hoard and hide deeper feelings. But every now and then, Scorpio’s will purge and cull, and out everything comes. (watch out for any resentments or stored anger, which can come out as ‘poison’, thus the famous Scorpio ‘sting’.)
The build-up is augmented by the pre-emptive opposition the Moon is having with Mars, so there’s a lot of physical energy, and anger to be expressed, and Taurus loves everyone to love them, so they generally don’t show their anger until it’s all too much, and then they charge like ‘wounded bulls’. Luckily the trine to Neptune softens and dissipates the potential harshness of Mars and the Moon. The delicacy of Chiron’s softer aspects to Venus and Pluto will allow relationships to gently transmute and change, after the depths have been met and processed.
Lunar Eclipses are disruptive and are seeking to break things up so that there can be movement and evolution. Scorpio is all for looking beneath the surface of things, so it really is a great time to loosen up harbored feelings, allow the process of that to open new deeper connections more grounded in earthy-ness and soul.
